Can provide wine, champagne, flowers, luxury chocolates for special breaks. Welcome to families, couples and Christian groups. Singles very welcome. Two free WAADA fishing permits available on first come first served basis. Children welcome from any age.

• Wonderful Louis XV double walnut bed with beautiful roccoco details and basket set in an eyrie of a room with time-aged wood beams, boasting panoramic views of lake Windermere and the surrounding mountains from a velux window set in the slope of the ceiling. • The Blue Room has an imposing solid antiqued brass double bed from the upmarket bed shop, And So To Bed. It has a bespoke Relyon pocket sprung mattress set that is so comfortable, some of our guests have threatened to take the bed home with them! Beautiful French painted antique furniture and lovely Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings. Views of Lake Windermere, with pretty antique chairs in the single bay window to rest on. The Dalesway room takes its name from The Dales Way Walk, just half a minute's stroll from our front door. It has a lovely Louis XV double bed with roccoco details and beautiful antique French daybed. French lighting with crystal drops and other pretty French antique furniture and mirrors complete this room. Views to the National Park from a bay window where you may see the wild deer graze. The Eyrie Details

• The Eyrie is an apt name for this single, cosy, nest of a room with small shower en suite, painted in Laura Ashley colours with bird's eye panoramic lake views from a velux window set in the slope of the ceiling on the second floor. It has a beautiful antique Queen Anne bed and other antique furniture, including a working Victorian oak washstand. There are lovely aged beams to the ceiling and walls of the room.

• Lovely, very large room with triple floor to ceiling bay windows and views to the north of lake Windermere and the National Park. The Fairifeld features a beautifully carved Louis XV suite with an antique French daybed in the window to rest on and admire the scenery. Large 5' bed with a very comfortable Dunlopillow mattress. Decorated in Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings. Nice walk-in shower en suite. This room may also be used as a twin, triple or family room. Wonderfully romantic white painted iron bed with lovely detail from the upmarket bed shop, Feather and Black. A vintage cupboard and antique spinning stool with French antique wall lights, give character to this room, complemented by warm and bright Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings. For a good night's rest, we have put in a luxurious pocket sprung mattress by Relyon, purchased from the upmarket bedshop, And So To Bed. Nice en suite shower with heated towel rail.
