Inspired By Nature: Mini Hangings with Hand Embroidery and Natural Objects
Do you have a collection of natural treasures that you'd like to use in your work but are not sure how? This workshop will explore ways of combining fabrics, found objects, natural treasures such as feathers and shells and hand embroidery to create beautiful mini hangings. We will explore how to attach different natural treasures and we will experiment with hand embroidery stitches to add movement, texture and colour to our work. We will also look at layering up small pieces of fabric so feel free to bring along any precious scraps you would like to use.
