As we had such fun last year we decided to give the GNS'09 a go. It was much more organised and the weather was brilliant which made it great fun for swimmers and spectators.

4 bikes + North Face mountain bike trail + tea & cake = 4 tired but happy people and a cheap day out.

Five of us girls from work got together to give the GNS'08 a go. Sounded a good plan at the time and actually on the day it was great fun, and the water wasn't that cold, honestly, just above 15C.

If you have a couple of hours take a walk up Sale Fell, one of Wainwrights smallest hills, the view over Bassenthwaite Lake is lovely.

If you have never been on a horse but have always fancied giving it a go then Spoon Hall Trekking Centre, based in Coniston, is an excellent choice!
