Short break ideas
A very short and personal review of Lane Head Apartment nr Wigton. Time of visit august 2011.
I took my partner on his first ever camping break last year. Having been brought up on annual family camping trips, I was confident that despite the poor weather forecast we would still have fun...we did indeed!
Instead of having all the hastle of pitching a tent we decided to give a camping pod a go so we booked one night at Castlerigg Hall in Keswick, it was great fun.
The forecast was good so we decided to go camping with the dog for two nights at Ullswater. It was the dogs' first camping trip and he loved it. We ate out at two of the local pubs The Sun Inn, Pooley Bridge and the Queens Head, Tirril.
About our 'holiday at home' in the Lakes 09. Lots of walking, relaxing, great food and fantastic memories.
