Brookwood Cottage is ideally situated on a quiet private drive, but within easy walking distance of the village, the lake and many local view points. Brookwood is half of a spacious and comfortable Edwardian house, which was completely and sympathetically refurbished recently, by the owner who lives next door.
Accommodation: Newly fitted and well equipped kitchen leads into a separate dining room with original dressed wooden floor. The spacious and comfortable sittiing room to the front of the house has high bay windows overlooking the garden (TV, DVD, gas feature fire place). The bedroom to the front has a king size bed and lovely lake views. Good sized L shaped single room. A large twin at the other side of the house has a decorative arched window and overlooks the tree lined drive. Family bathroom (bath with shower over, basin and WC). Downstairs shower room with basin and WC.
Fitted carpets upstairs and in the lounge, with other floors being of original wood boards or tiles. Selection of DVD's, books, games and maps supplied.
Fuel is included from April to September. From October to March an allowance of £50 is included in the cost of the holiday, anything over this will be charged by meter reading.

From the A591 turn onto A5074 Windermere Town Centre. Follow signs to lake. Opposite Co-Op turn into Helm Road, then immediately right into Langrigge Drive. Brookwood is the last house on the right at the T junction with Brantfell Road.

“Perfect base for touring the Lakes.”
Situated at the end of a quiet road, above the town of Bowness with a 5 minute walk down to the town. Although set high above the town, the hill up to the property was pretty steep from Brantfell Rd, but was less daunting when walking up the pleasant and safe Langrigge Drive from the town. 10 mins walk to local Tesco Express and 5 min to Co-Op.
Exceptionally large property rental easily accommodating 5 adults with room to spare. Well equipped for our stay with all mod cons, washer and drier, microwave, toaster, hairdryer, TV and DVD. Spotlessly clean throughout- Large rooms and a safe family garden with driveway parking for 2 family sized cars.
Attentive owner lives next door so on hand should a problem arise. Also a font of knowledge for the local area.
