Details
Set in 10 acres of land bordering lake Windermere with magnificent lake and mountain views, quiet and secluded, perfect country retreat. Situated in the very heart of the National Park. We pride ourselves on the quality and quantity of our breakfast, homemade jams and marmalades, warm croissant, fresh bread and not forgetting the hearty cooked breakfast which includes the famous Cumberland sausage, a real Cumbrian breakfast. Our recently re-decorated and refurbished rooms are both comfortable and stylish, both rooms offer magnificent lake and mountain views. Conveniently situated for both Hawkshead and Ambleside, and just 4-minutes drive from the Drunken Duck Inn. You can explore uncrowded lake and woodland walks from the door. Red deer, red squirrels and badgers are frequent visitors to the garden and many wild birds visit our bird table. Adoptive Cumbrians for over 40 years we are able to offer help and advice to our guests to enable them to find those special places in the Lake District. Many people return time and time again, previous guests comments have been, ' A wonderful place', 'So special, it is perfect', 'the best B&B breakfast we have ever had', 'the house, our room, the views, the welcome all make this our favourite B&B'.
We can also arrange those little extras, a bouquet of flowers, champagne and chocolates to order.
We offer a warm friendly welcome and good food, the rooms have views you will remember.
Superb lake and fell views. Totally non-smoking.
