Details
Ellerthwaite Lodge is a family-run hotel situated in the village of Windermere and is ideally located for enjoying the delights of the Lake District. This charming 19thC house provides a spacious home from which you can enjoy a short break or a longer holiday. The hotel has ample off-street parking and is only 5 minutes from the railway station and a short distance from the centre of the village. To the right of the hotel are the spacious library gardens ablaze with azaleas and rhododendrons in the spring. Opposite, the road leads past another public garden and a pleasant walk down to England's largest lake.
Around the area there is a wealth of things to see and do, cruise on Windermere, visit the steamboat museum or the World of Beatrix Potter exhibition, all in Bowness. Only a short journey further there are stately homes, motor museums and the homes of Wordsworth, Ruskin and Beatrix Potter. Walks and views abound, it's just a matter of choosing where!
All televisions are new 2010 flatscreen with free veiw built in. Children welcome from any age.
