Details

Badger’s and Mole’s Cottages are 2 comfortable units attached to How Head Cottage, each accommodating 2 people. We are on the quiet east side of Coniston water, set above the lake so that each cottage has superb views across the water to the mountains and village, the picture changing all the time with the season of year and time of day. To the other side is Grizedale Forest so birds and other wildlife are always present. Coniston is 1.5 miles away and Hawkshead 3 miles by road.

The units have a genuinely traditional, cosy cottage feel and are looked after by the resident owners so cleanliness is assured and local knowledge is readily available.

Whilst being well located as a centre from which to explore the whole Lake District, there are walks in all directions right from the door. Hawkshead, Tarn Hows and the lakeside are easily reached with many more options as well.

After a long day out, relax by your cottage door, drinking in the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful spot away from the rush and bustle of everyday life.
