Sky Ride Local Free Guided Bike Ride at Cartmel Race Course
British Cycling, Sky and the GoLakes Travel programme have teamed up to bring a series of free guided bike rides to the South & Central Lakes. Sky Ride Local bike rides are perfect for all ages, from beginners to experienced cyclists, and are a great way of exploring the iconic scenery of the Lake District.

Join us on Sunday the 19th of May for the first ride of the series. If you're fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, this steady ride is ideal. At a comfortable pace, and with some modest hills along the way, the ride takes place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way.

The village of Cartmel lies just 20 minutes from M6 and 4 miles from southern tip of lake Windermere. From M6 jct 36 join A591 and pick up A590 towards Barrow-in-Furness, on race days there will be extra signage for Cartmel races.
