Route Overview

Today you will leave Cumbria for Yorkshire when you cross the main Pennine watershed on Nine Standards Rigg. The recommended route traverses wild country, much of it pathless and without landmarks. On reaching Keld, a small hamlet famous for its waterfalls, you arrive at one of the major Yorkshire Dales, Swaledale and briefly meet with the Pennine Way.
