Canoeing and Kayaking at Mobile Adventure

The Lake District is renowned for the scenic beauty of its' lakes and rivers, and there are few better ways to appreciate this than from the water in your own boat. Mobile Adventure's fleet of boats includes both kayaks and canoes and allows us to cater for all ages and abilities. For beginners Derwent Water or Thirlmere provide the perfect introduction to this sedate form of transport, as you glide or splash (depending on ability) your way across the water. When seen from the middle of the Lake, the size and grandeur of the mountains is put in a whole new perspective, and the peace and quiet of the surroundings can be truly appreciated.

The choice of whether to canoe or kayak is up to you, but by the end of the session we aim to provide you with the skills necessary to control your boat or at least paddle in a straight line! After a short warm up and some coaching in basic paddle strokes a journey across the lake will take in some of the most breath taking sights of the Lake District. Paddling skills will be coached in a fun environment, involving games as well as personal coaching.
