Farmers, locals & how we live at Coniston Tourist Information Centre
An outstanding low level 4 mile walk along the Cumbria Way and the west shore of Coniston Water looking towards Grizedale forest and Brantwood. Experience life with a local farmer and learn the secrets of Cumbrian farming family life from a native.
Walk is on a Friday and should take about 5 hours.
Start: 11.00 at Coniston TIC for bus to Sunnybank, or 11.15 at the Sunny Bank bus stop if you have prebooked
Refreshments: Bring packed lunch.
Prices
Cost of the guided tour: £12.50 per adult for the guided tour. One child free per adult, otherwise £6.25 per child.
Other essential costs: You will also need to purchase tickets for the bus to Sunnybank or park your car and get the bus back.
Other recommended visits: To discover more about the theme of the tour we recommend a visit to the Ruskin Museum (£5.25 per adult, £2.50 per child, family tickets available).
Advance booking via Coniston Tourist Information Centre is essential.
