A 2-day weekend residential training course covering the essential skills to enjoy the winter hills in safety. The ideal introduction to the pleasures of winter hill walking. The course covers ice axe and crampon techniques, winter navigation, how to assess winter hazards eg avalanche risk and survival skills. Cost includes professional tuition, loan of technical equipment, ice axe/crampons/helmet and full board accommodation.
