We booked a premier room but got a smaller room than we had last year which was a standard room, also It only had a bath and we are shower people. It's very unusual to only get a bath-only ensuite these days. We asked to be moved, the staff obliged but we got a small windowed room which clearly wasn't a premier room.
To be fair, after breakfast the next day we were upgraded to a premier room which was very nice. We also felt that the breakfast could have been better with tastier sausages and scrambled egg and the beans appeared to be mushy and stewed. We also felt that there should have been a larger choice of main dish, Other places nearby offered smoked salmon with scrambled egg or kippers or even smoked haddock. Sorry to be so critical but I'm sure you would prefer to know how we really felt.

Mr White. Lets be fair here. You booked on-line via our web site and booked room 3 which has a massive bay window showing probably the best view in Keswick & is en-suite with a bath. All clearly stated on the web and with pictures to show.A confirmation email confirmed the room and the bath. What more can we do.
On arrival you had changed your mind & deceided that a shower would be preferable. For that reason YOU decided to change room and that was for one night only until another Signature room with shower became available. So dont try and say we got it wrong. We even gave the other members of your party a free up-grade, thats thanks eh.
You are entitled to your views on breakfast however accurate they may be. If Haddock, Salmon, Kippers, Black Pudding or Hash Browns were specially required, we can soon have some delivered, but it is just not practical to have everything known to man ready to cook fresh. As you know we dont take breakfast orders the night before, cooking things off in advance. The breakfast menu is on the web for all to see, so why not call in advance with a request.?
