Honister Slate Mine - The Cathedral Tour
The Cathedral is a bespoke tour of the working mine ( The ONLY working Slate Mine in England), where the owner Mark Weir, shares his humorous and sometimes sad stories that have arisen over his 11 years at Honister.
This is a truly one off tour!!
Must be pre booked and runs only on a Friday evening at 5pm. ( Minimum 8 person ).
You must be fit and active for this tour, a minimum height restriction of 1m 30cm applies.
Bookings are non-refundable, however you can be rebooked for an alternative date
For your safety and security all visitors must report to reception before the tour. All prices include a £0.25p contribution to the Lake District Tourism and Conservation Partnership.
