Orton, Tebay & the Lune Valley...
The village of Orton stretches languidly in all directions but never loses sight of its focal centre, where several roads and footpaths converge.
Some of the finest limestone pavements in the area can be found to the north, with the villages of Great Asby and Little Asby nestling in fertile hollows on the limestone plateau.
