Cascades totalling 246ft. From A591 up east side of Bassenthwaite Lake turn right to Orthwaite. Park near Peter House Farm and take road that becomes a track. About 5 mile easy round walk.

At 172 ft the highest fall in Lakeland. Hidden in tree-lined cleft. 2.5 miles from Buttermere car park - follow signs to fall. Care needed in scrambling to foot of fall.

In a ravine behind The Lodore Falls Hotel. This 40 ft fall is surrounded by woods and crags. Parking 0.5 mile from entrance to falls behind Hotel or take launch down Derwentwater. On property owned by hotel - small charge for access.

Stunning waterfall falling approx 55 feet.Situated on the River Brathay.Great views from the falls. Limited parking by stream at bottom of hill. Less than 0.5 mile through oak woodland.

Limestone gorge falls. Park near village pond in Caldbeck. Walk down hill to farm with 'Howk' on barn end, follow the path for a further 0.5 mile.

Dalegarth, Eskdale Valley, Cumbria, CA19 1TD

LDNP property. Deep and narrow gorge on Stanley Ghyll. Turning to falls marked after Eskdale vicarage. National Trust car park. About 1.5 miles along lane into wood and then upstream. Walk branches up steps to right. EXTREME CARE NEEDED.

Also know as Fairy Glen. Nr Stonethwaite. Collection of quite large pools and small falls, some wooded areas alongside the river.

Thirlmere Reservoir, Wythburn, Cumbria

Commence from the Dob Gill Car Park around a kilometre along the road from Wythburn on the western bank of Thirlmere. Take the footpath that ascends through woodland from the back of the car park.

Follow the lane behind Barclays Bank in Ambleside Village. About 1 mile round. Multiple fall of 90ft in woodland with clear paths and bridges.
