You can also experience fantastic cycling and scenery without going on a multi day epic route. There are some fantastic routes in the Lancaster District for example the ‘Journey to the Sea' a 7 mile round trip between Lancaster and the breezy shore of Morecambe. Cycling along Morecambe Promenade gives great views of the Bay and is suitable to all abilities and ages.
The ‘Cycle and See' guide to Ulverston and the Furness Peninsulas and Arnside and Silverdale AONB are a good source of information on the area and include a variety of OS mapped routes.
