Staffield Hall is a historic country mansion sympathetically converted into 8 romantic and totally self-contained luxury apartments, cosy, warm and well equipped. Very peaceful, secluded setting in 3 acres. Gardens with terraced lawns and stunning views.
Open all year, short breaks available, this is the perfect base for exploring the Eden Valley, Pennines, Hadrian's Wall and Lakes.

From M6 jct 41 follow signs for Carlisle along B5305 to Stoneybeck roundabout and A6. Turn north on A6 for 2 miles to Plumpton. Turn right at Plumpton onto B6413 and follow through Lazonby into Kirkoswald. At the top of Kirkoswald Main Street leave B6413 and go straight on towards Armathwaite for one mile. Next left after public phone box in Staffield is the driveway to Staffield Hall. Go to very end of drive and park in front of main house.

    “four out of five”

    the apartment itself was lovely and the surrounding countryside superb. Well equipped kitchen and nice spa bath, however we found the whole apartment a bit on the chilly side. There is a portable heater, but the price paid there should be no need to carry a heater around.
    we do always respect the properties we rent and tidy around, but the instructions make it very clear that the property should be thoroughly cleaned prior to departure - you can pay £45 to have this done on your behalf. Again, at £107 per night, this service should be included. These little negatives do really take away from what could be a 5 star rating
