High level camping is a wonderful experience. Walk up to a mountain tarn or high level stream. Pitch your tent and then walk to the top of a mountain in the evening to watch the sunset over the Lakes. You will need to be fit enough to carry a pack up to the wild camp-site, usually at a mountain tarn or small stream.
