Today his proteges, Colin and Mark, together with their young and enthusiastic team, are developing their own individual style by combining traditional Sharrow style with the best of contemporary cuisine. The original "signature" Afternoon Tea is served daily at both the Main House and Bank House, on the shores of Ullswater.

Winder Hall Country House Hotel near Buttermere is a historic manor house in the peaceful lakeland village of Low Lorton near Buttermere. Spend the night and sample home-cooking at it is best – everything from breads and cakes to jams and chutneys, ice cream and charcuterie. Apart from the chickens, pigs and small range of vegetables and herbs raised on the small-holding, most of the food is bought from small family-owned businesses, preferably living and working in Cumbria. A real taste of Cumbria!

Buttermere

Magnificent nature predominates with little to disturb it apart from the hamlet of Buttermere, a small church, two hotels and a number of small B&B's, a campsite and a youth hostel.
