Coast to Coast in a Day Cycle Sportive
The Coast to Coast; West Cumbria to North Yorkshire is attempted by scores of cyclists each year, but only a handful try it in one go. The Coast to Coast in a Day is an event enabling riders to follow a fully signed route starting in Seascale on the West Coast, taking in the iconic passes of Hardknott and Wrynose, the lovely valleys of the Yorkshire Dales, The Vale of York, and finally the North York Moors before descending to finish by the sea in Whitby.
Now in its 6th year Open Cycling are organising the 2017 Coast to Coast in a Day Cycle Sportive on 24th June.
Please note the 2017 event is FULL, entries for 2018 will open Monday 3rd July 2017.
Take the A595 from either the north or the south of Cumbria and then take the B5344 sign posted Seascale. Follow this road until you go under a viaduct and you are at the beach front car park. This will be sign posted with a brown Beach sign.
Accessible by Public Transport: 0 miles from Seascale station
