Lakes & Country Escapes is a proudly independent, female-founded, holiday letting agency based in the beautiful Lake District village of Coniston.
We strive to make experiencing the Lakes as simple and hassle free as possible. We do this by offering our guests a lovely collection of self-catering cottages combined with down to earth, responsive customer service and expert local knowledge.
We’ve traditional Lakeland cottages, modern coastal hideaways and luxurious woodland retreats available, many of which are pet-friendly.

Our Story
We’ve already touched on the fact that we’re an independent, female-founded holiday letting agency, now here’s our Lakes & Country backstory.
It all began in 2009 with the meeting of two like-minded souls working alongside each other in the holiday lettings industry here in the Lake District.
Ten years later and on a surfing retreat in Cornwall we made some pretty big decisions that led us to where we are today. The owners of our very own holiday lettings agency and fabulous little gift shop here in Coniston village.
