Spring and summer can be mystical months in the Lake District. The landscape comes alive after its long winter slumber, and simply bursts with colour and wildlife. There are so many ways to experience it in its full glory. With so many Easter events, attractions and special offers there's something to keep everyone occupied this spring break.

Explore the Special Nature of Cumbria's Mountain Landscape The Flora of the Fells Festival 2008 sees themed events each month focusing on aspects of Cumbria's landscape. In March they kick off with a celebration of all things WOODY! The highlight for the month is an Easter Monday event at Eskdale designed to entertain the whole family. Easter Egg Hunts There are Easter egg hunts going on across the length and breadth of the country. One "Eggstra" special one is also taking place to celebrate the 100th birthday of Jemima Puddle-duck. 100 very special Easter eggs will appear across Cumbria on 19 March. There is no need to climb, dig or delve, just keep your eyes peeled as you enjoy the Lake District countryside.
