West Vale Country House is beautifully situated in the heart of Beatrix Potter Country, whose house Hilltop is a few minutes walk away and overlooks the village of Sawrey, Grizedale Forest and The Old Man of Coniston beyond. The area is an ideal spot from which to explore the Lakes, tarns, hills, villages and shops. West Vale provides 5-star accommodation in individually designed rooms with your every comfort in mind and with all the little extras discerning travellers expect.

Breakfast is served in our dining room offering a buffet table from which to choose freshly cut fruit compote, cereals, juices and home made preserves followed by the famous West Vale Cumbrian breakfast or if you prefer, choose from our a la carte breakfast menu.

Use of leisure facilities at the nearby 4-star Swan Hotel for visitors staying 2 or more nights is a real delight. These are just a taste of the treasures on offer at this beautifully situated hotel & restaurant.
