With so many exciting events, days out, guided walks and festivals in 2013 you certainly won't be bored when you visit the Lake District, Cumbria.
For outdoor enthusiasts May is the time to visit for the fantastic Keswick Mountain Festival, followed closely by one of the country's most scenic running events, the Brathay Windermere Marathon on May 19th. Side splitting laughter is the order of the day at the Freerange Lake District Comedy Festival from 15 - 25th May.
Then in June come and see over 10,000 swimmers take to the water in the Great North Swim. June is also the time to visit to see Appleby Horse Fair and the Cumberland Show.
With a calendar of over 900 events come and enjoy the traditions and events that make the Lake District a real, live rural destination this year, we look forward to welcoming you.
