“A great atmosphere and good food.”

I have stayed at the Strickland Arms for the past 3 years now, the first two of which were in the yurt, with a group I was attending the Lowther show with. This year I was with the same group, but I stayed in the Strickland Arms with my wife, and the room was very clean and comfortable. I almost gave the staff service 4 stars as apposed to 5 due to the fact that the lady turned the lights out on us at 11pm on the Saturday evening as a prompt for us to go to bed, a little embarrassing! However, I have to say that the service in general was better than ever this time, and all credit to the new face who served us at dinner and breakfast (can't remember his name i'm afraid) but he was very accommodating. Thank you to the owners too for arranging breakfast early so we could get to the Lowther show on time. We will definitely be booking again for next year!
