Fascinating historic house where the elegance and loveliness of the Victorian era combine with the warmth and welcome of a much loved family home. The hall is set in 25 acres of romantic formal & woodland gardens and ancient parkland, with the famous herd of Menil fallow deer, showcasing nature at it’s most graceful. Holker offers beautiful landscaped grounds, adventure playground & picnic area. The Gift shop offers a wide selection of the most stylish ranges for home and garden with a little luxury thrown in!. Holker's Food Hall stocks the very finest local produce, including Holker’s own seasonal meats and cheese. The Courtyard Cafe offers delicious homemade food, including our famous homemade cakes, bakes and desserts. Holker also hosts an inspirational programme of special events throughout the year, guaranteed to appeal to all ages and interests.

House and gardens admissions:
Adult £12 , children up to 15yrs free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. Group rates are available for parties of 10+.

By Train: If travelling from outside Cumbria Holker Hall is easy to access by train. Change at Lancaster Station on to the scenic Furness Line (Trains for Barrow-in-Furness). Alight at Cark-in-Cartmel station and follow the signed walking route to Holker Hall.

By Bus: Over Summer you can easily get to Holker Hall for free on the X32 South Lakes Freerider from Lakeside, Cartmel, Rusland pool Haverthwaite or Ulverston. The hop on, hop off service runs Monday to Friday and makes fairly regular stops. The hourly 532 Grange Circular also links Grange over Sands with Cark-in-Cartmel, there is a signed walking route from Cark-in-Cartmel to Holker Hall.

On Foot: Holker Hall is approx a 15 minute walk from Cark station and bus stops. There are are also a couple of scenic and easy-going walks there from Flookburgh and Cartmel. Please contact Holker Hall or drop in at the information centre at Cartmel Races for walk cards.

By Bike:Holker Hall provides a bike stand and bike locks for those arriving by bike (deposit required for bike locks).

By Road: From Barrow follow the brown tourist signs from the A590. Follow the signs from M6 for lake district peninsulas, south lakes jct 36.
