Felt Making: Nuno Sarves & Corsages at Quirky Workshops @ Greystoke Cycle Cafe

Linda will show you how to make felt flowers and foibles and nuno scarves which are fine silk chiffon or muslin gently rubbed with woollen yarns to create a ruched effect when dampened.

Linda came to Cumbria some 5 years ago and created her very own felt making studio overlooking Blencathra in the Lake District.

A talented all round artist, she has a fine art degree, with an original background in painting.

Create your very own felt masterpiece with Linda who will bring all the materials necessary for the day, comprising a fabulous choice of of vibrant colours in various fleeces and silks.

Notes	The Cycle Cafe is a family-run tea garden with unusual opening times. Fri 12.00 to 18.00. Sat 10.00 to 18.00 and the second Sun of the month 10.00 to 18.00. We will serve any cyclists at other times with whatever we have, if of course we are about and available. Seasonal opening only, Apr to end Sep.

On the C2C Cycle route 200 yds north of Greystoke village green, direction Blencowe. We welcome all cyclists and walkers and ask all those with cars to walk the 350yds from the village car park around the Greystoke Castle walls.
We can offer parking in our driveway to cycle support vehicles and those attending our workshop days,
Bus links to Penrith and Keswick. Penrith railway station 5 miles

We have a ground floor toilet but not wide enough for wheelchair access.
