Anyone who has ever tried to make Pastry, Bread, Biscuits and Scones gluten free knows that result can be disappointing - It's the gluten in baking and flour that gives bread and pastries their elasticity and cakes their spring.

Therefore Gluten free flours are a little more difficult to work than normal flours and results less predictable - but there are ways round to getting good results. .

In addition there are other ingredients to use as substitutes for a gluten free diet which will provide equally tasty alternatives and so help towards a fresher approach and better results.

Gillian Harris has been a popular county wide bread maker for many years and was used as an advisor demonstrator when Carrs Flour were creating their new bread-making flour ranges some years back.

She is also one of our most popular cookery teachers over the past 4 years. Her courses are always very hands on, productive and busy.

You will share and taste all you have made for lunch and then leave with anything that is left over.
