Rush Seating Restoration 2 Day course.

If you have an old rush chair in need of tender loving care with a front spindle length of no more than 15 inches, then this could be the course for you!

For those who book on the course, David will need to know the exact sizes of the chairs so he can bring sufficient materials. He will also advise on what can be done existing chairs before arrival for the course.

In making your own chair seat you’ll learn how to create the continuous strands of rush and different ways to patch in and add new strands.

This could be followed by the stuffing of the chair and the importance of the bridge formation for a really professional finish.

Notes	The Cycle Cafe is a family-run tea garden with unusual opening times. Fri 12.00 to 18.00. Sat 10.00 to 18.00 and the second Sun of the month 10.00 to 18.00. We will serve any cyclists at other times with whatever we have, if of course we are about and available. Seasonal opening only, Apr to end September

On the C2C Cycle route 200 yds north of Greystoke village green, direction Blencowe. We welcome all cyclists and walkers and ask all those with cars to walk the 350yds from the village car park around the Greystoke Castle walls.
We can offer parking in our driveway to cycle support vehicles and those attending our workshop days,
Bus links to Penrith and Keswick. Penrith railway station 5 miles

Nearest station : 5 miles (8.0 kms) from Penrith station

We have a ground floor toilet but not wide enough for wheelchair access.
