From the south, follow M6 to jct 36, then take tha A591 to Windermere. Continue for 3 miles towards Ambleside, passing Troutbeck Bridge services and Brockhole Visitors Centre. Half a mile further on, turn right into Holbeck Lane signed Troutbeck and Townend. The hotel drive is 0.5 mile up the lane, on the left-hand side.
From the North: Follow M6(South) to junction 40, Penrith. Take the A66 to Keswick, join the A591 passong Grasmere and Ambleside. Approximately 1 mile south of Ambleside turn left into Holbeck Lane.
