Gincase Tearoom at The Gincase
This popular licensed tearoom is to be found in the actual Gincase, (an old Engine Room), a 6-sided building where horses would have once walked round in a circle, turning the grindstones and therefore crushing the corn, which would have been used for animal feed.
The Gincase is warm, inviting and serves delicious freshly home made food, which is all made in The Gincase kitchen, often using traditional recipes and local produce; with a 1760 cast iron cooking range and many other interesting items found on farms in times past dotted around the tearoom.
Morning coffees, hot and cold lunches and afternoon teas are all here waiting to be enjoyed.
Try the Gincase Cumberland Sausage, Tatie Pot, Salmon and Broccoli Flan, Egremont Chocolate Cake or a wide range of luscious freshly homemade puddings and cakes, or the very popular roast dinners served on Sundays, booking advised. On warmer days, you might like to be served in the orchard garden with a nice cold beer or a glass of chardonnay perhaps, and enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful unspoilt area.
