The Peter Rabbit Garden at The World of Beatrix PotterThe Peter Rabbit Garden at The World of Beatrix Potter

In May 2009 we opened our first outdoor section of the attraction, The Peter Rabbit Garden. This has proved tremendously popular with visitors who have delighted in the beauty and attention to detail in the design and the way the garden evokes the atmosphere of the Peter Rabbit stories. In 2010 we will continue to develop and improve the services we offer to group visitors, particularly inspired by the Peter Rabbit Garden.

For an in-depth visit to the Peter Rabbit Garden we can offer a free tour of the garden, led by a member of our gardening team, who will introduce youto the plants and vegetables int he garden and the techniques we use to kepp the organic garden looking great throughout the year. Also on the gardening theme, you can now combine a visit to the Peter Rabbit Garden with a visit to Rydal Mount, the home of one of England's finest poets, William Wordsworth.

As well as retaining popular favourites from last year like the Cumbrian Platter and local roast beef, our menus for 2010 include new dishes which will use completely fresh fruit and vegetables grown in the garden and our new organic kitchen garden. This means that yoru guest will be eating rare heritage varieties of organic fruit and vegetables direct from our own gardens and offered when they are in season. Food doesn't come fresher than that.
