Workshop/Course, Fri 30 May - Sun 9 Nov 2014, £155

Details

Silver & semi-precious stone Jewellery weekend for Beginners and Intermediates.

Melinda Scarborough is a talented award winning designer maker jeweller with over 30 years experience who specialises in precious metals and gems.

On this two day workshop you should expect to make hopefully quite a bit - perhpas a pendant or a bracelet and assuming you get the hang of it you can go on to make more- some earrings or bracelets - tie or hat pins. Your design will be individual to you and in the process will learn many jewellery making techniques including cutting, forming, doming, soldering, texturing and polishing.

You should progress quickly and are able to move on to at least a second project such as a pair of earrings, perhaps to form part of a set.

Sometimes people can even manage more once they realise the possibilities.

People will be able to work at their own pace and make the most of workshop time.
