The Old Sawmill Tearoom at Mirehouse Historic House and GardensThe Old Sawmill Tearoom at Mirehouse Historic House and Gardens

Nestled at the foot of Dodd Wood and overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake, The Old Sawmill is a welcome sight for weary fell walkers and wildlife enthusiasts. Ospreys and red squirrels are a major attraction in Dodd Wood. In Winter a log burning fire awaits and in summer enjoy outside dining with lake views. The tearoom serves hearty lunches, homemade quiche, Cumberland sausage and a fantastic array of homemade scones and cakes. All baking is made on the premises.
