Welcome Aboard: Boating on Windermere at Museum of Lakeland Life & IndustryWelcome Aboard: Boating on Windermere at Museum of Lakeland Life & Industry

The easily overlooked treasures of museum collections often paint the most vivid pictures. In this display we are bringing boating on Windermere to life, through beautiful dinner services used for fine dining on board, to oil cans used to keep elegant steam launches whisper-quiet. Together with historical photographs and costume we are giving you a glimpse of the stories that will be told in the new Windermere Steamboat Museum when it opens in 2015.
