drop...

Drop is a newly commissioned giant reflective sculpture based on a
raindrop - the building blocks of the lakes. In 1778, Thomas West published his "Guide to the Lakes" as an alternative to the Grand Tour. His guide to the cultural and landscape assets of Cumbria, together with a real sense of adventure, is credited as planting the seed of domestic tourism in the UK. In his book, West highlighted a number of 'Viewing Stations' - places where iconic views could be observed.
