Cycle Route

This figure of eight mountain bike route is the perfect introduction to Sedbergh and its surrounding fells and dales. It weaves in and out of the village edge and then ducks over to the neighbouring valley of Dentdale. It involves some road riding on valley roads and quiet back lanes and there are a couple of off road sections. The hardest bits are a 70m climb on a track from Millthrop onto the fells of Long Rigg, and the climb up Howgill Lane, however the effort of both climbs are rewarded by stunning views and exciting descents.
