Lake District Walking Festival at Brockhole - Lake District Visitor CentreLake District Walking Festival at Brockhole - Lake District Visitor Centre

Last year's inaugural Walk For All Lake District Walking Festival welcomed hundreds of walkers across the three routes, for a fantastic day around Windermere. Owing to the success of the first year of the event we are delighted to announce the Lake District Walking Festival is back and promises to be bigger and better than 2012. With 3 distances to choose from, all our walks offer experienced and non-experienced walkers the chance to discover the Lake District's natural beauty.

We are also excited to announce that the 18 mile walk will now be 22 miles, providing more of a challenge for those who feel they can tackle more mileage. The route will follow a similar path to 2012's 18 mile route, however before arriving at Ambleside it takes in the climb of Loughrigg Fell and the sublime views across Windermere and Elterwater. All the routes then finish back at Brockhole, where we plan to create a hive of activity at the Visitor Centre, before catching the ferry back on the beautiful Windermere.
