Details

A cosy traditional cobblestone cottage beside the River Greta about half a mile from Keswick town centre. The cottage is set back from the Penrith Road with off-street parking for one car. It is carefully maintained by the owners, who live nearby and are therefore able to deal with any problems that might arise.

The cottage comprises a living room and small kitchen on the ground floor. On the first floor there is a double bedroom and bathroom with lavatory, washbasin and bath with shower. On the next floor there is a small twin bedroom. At the back there is a patio area with table and chairs overlooking the river.

There are bus stops nearby and also a pub, which sells local real ale and meals, and a garage with a very useful Londis store. The nearest fell, Latrigg, is a few minutes walk away from where there are beautiful views over Derwentwater and the surrounding mountains.

In the living room there is a television, DVD player, radio with CD player and also a drawer filled with traditional games. There is a hair dryer in the main bedroom and shaving sockets in one of the bedrooms and in the bathroom. Cooking is by electricity and heating is by gas/electricity. Besides shops, restaurants and pubs there are many facilities in town including a theatre, a cinema, a leisure centre and parks offering a range of activities. The lake also provides a range of activities. . Children welcome from any age.
