Lairbeck Hotel is ideally situated in a quiet, secluded location only 10-minutes walk into Keswick. Set in an acre of attractive, well-maintained gardens, with spacious car parking, Lairbeck enjoys magnificent views of Skiddaw, Causey Pike and many other mountains overlooking Derwentwater and the Borrowdale Valley.

The atmosphere here is both welcoming and informal and we assure you of the high standards of quality and hospitality that you will experience with us throughout your stay.

As soon as you enter the main hall you can sense the relaxed, family atmosphere of one of Keswick's finest Victorian country houses. In recent years, many features of the original house have been lovingly restored, such as the magnificent barley-twist pine staircase and galleried landing, which give the hall its prestigious feel and a warmth that's as timeless as the grandfather clock. On the landing is a collection of old photographs donated by the Anderson family, evoking memories of Lairbeck as it was in years gone by.
In the comfort of the lounge bar, guests can reflect upon the events of the day, make plans for tomorrow or simply relax and absorb the quiet atmosphere of the house. An unusual feature of the lounge is the window over a marble fireplace. On cooler evenings, the glowing log fire adds a comforting warmth.
Hospitality, comfort and relaxation are all vital ingredients of the Lairbeck expererience. Many of our guests return time-and-time again, knowing that the genuinely warm welcome they receive continues throughout their stay.

Lairbeck has 14 bedrooms including superior rooms, a 4-poster room, ground-floor rooms, four single rooms and one family room.

Most have superb mountain views or overlook the hotel grounds. All are non-smoking, with either a bathroom or shower room en suite, and have been individually decorated to enhance their charm and character.

In keeping with Lairbeck's origins, each room has kept the name given to it by the Anderson family.
