The Gables is a stylish bed and breakfast in the heart of Ambleside, making an excellent base for exploring the National Park. We pride ourselves in making your stay with us a warm and friendly experience.
Positioned adjacent to Ambleside's historic parish church and opposite the bowling green, our guesthouse enjoys both a central location and pleasant views.
All our bedrooms are en suite and comprise of double, twin, single and family accommodation, all furnished and decorated to a high standard.
Family run, strictly non smoking, private car park, drying room, secure bike storage, dogs welcome by arrangement, free passes to the Langdale Spa & Country Club, check in between 16.00 - 20.00. Later arrivals by prior arrangement only.
Available nearby - cycles for hire, pony trekking, tennis, putting and bowls. Children welcome from any age.

From M6 jct 36 take A591 through Windermere to Ambleside. At traffic lights at The Waterhead take left hand lane, carry on through village. Pass tennis courts on left, take left-hand fork and we are situated on the slip road to the left, directly at the top of the bowling green. By bus from Windermere train station, take 555 to Ambleside. Ask to be put off outside the library. We are less than 5 minutes' walk, down the road with Youngs garage on the left. Turn right past the newsagents on the right, cross 2 roads infront of you. We are situated straight ahead.
