Woodgate Hall is a superb Yeoman farmhouse built in 1649 around the time of the English civil war. We have sympathetically refurbished throughout to give all the benefits of modern living whilst retaining much of the old world charm and character. Downstairs there is a large lounge with slate floor and Tudor fireplace, across a flagged hallway a dining room with range and exposed beams leads into a magnificent architect designed kitchen/garden room. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, accommodatiing 7/8 guests, 1 with en suite shower. Family bathroom with shower and cast iron bath.

Adjoining the hall is The Cottage which has been totally renovated around its original features to make a quaint Lakeland retreat. There is a large lounge with Georgian doors to garden. A dining room with original range and a fully-equipped kitchen. The wide staircase leads up to the bathroom with shower and cast iron bath and 2 large bedrooms sleeping 4 guests.

Each property has a garden with furniture, barbeque and ever changing views up the vale of Consiton towards 'The Old Man'.

These properties are available separately or can be booked together for larger family get togethers.

Plenty of storage for bikes and canoes.

Changeover day Friday. Short breaks available.

Within 2 miles of the hall are 3 pubs/restaurants all offering a good range of ale's and food. Activities can be arranged if required. Good area for cycling and walking. Children welcome from any age.

From A590 at Greenodd take the A595, signposted Western Lakes, for approximately 3 miles.
At the crossroads marked Woodgate take the left turn towards Ulverston. Woodgate Hall is the first property on the left-hand side.
