Ringhouse self-catering cottages are open all year, and set in the beautiful unspoilt Woodland Valley close to both Coniston and Broughton-in-Furness. The cottages retain an unrivalled atmosphere of calm and peace in a rural setting and yet are within easy driving distance of the popular tourist centres. Ringhouse is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday or short break. In addition for the more adventurous we can arrange a full range of activities. Woodland consists of a broad valley of woods, meadows and scattered dwellings. There are many beautiful walks to be taken right from the cottage door. Broughton-in-Furness offers a grocery and butchers shop, a bakery, post office, garage, several traditional pubs, cafes and a restaurant. Ringhouse Cottages created from an 18thC Lakeland farm. Cottages can be rented for a week or more from Fri to Fri or Mon to Mon. Additionally short breaks from Fri to Mon and Mon to Fri are available all the year round except for christmas and new year. Our stay was great but it would have been great if the place would have been baby-proofed as this is a family friendly accommodation and we were travelling with a baby. Perhaps a gate in the stairs would have been safer for us and would have given us a little bit of peace of mind during our stay.
