The Wild Boar is the perfect country retreat with open log fires, large comfortable leather chairs and hearty food. This traditional inn nestles in the peaceful Gilpin Valley, close to Lake Windermere and the surrounding English Lakes. Recent extensive renovations include a new Grill and Smokehouse with open kitchen and chef's table which offers a little more theatre to the dining experience. The 17 individually designed new feature and luxury rooms each have unique features such as copper baths and log fires, as well as modern touches such as iPod docking ports.
