The perfect comfortable cottage for a relaxing holiday, Talbot House sleeps up to 5 people in 3 bedrooms, 1 large double, 1 twin, 1 small single. The fully tiled bathroom has a bath and an electric shower.
Downstairs, the lounge and dining room, with original beams and cosy open fire, look out onto Helton village green while the kitchen has views in the opposite direction across the garden down to the Lowther Valley .

Talbot Studio is a generous cottage for a couple . Downstairs, a kitchen/diner and fully tiled bathroom beyond. Up the spiral staircase is a large lounge with spectacular views down to the River Lowther and the hills in the east. A double bed with built-in bedroom furniture is in a spacious area adjoining the lounge .

The sleepy little, conservation village of Helton perches on the hillside only 3 miles away from Ullswater across Askham Moor in the north eastern corner of the Lake District National Park. Lakeland slate and stone cottages predominate . Beautiful walks through the Lowther Estate lead to the neighbouring village of Askham 1 mile to the north with its 2 pubs, post office and open air heated swimming pool. South of Helton is the road to Bampton and Haweswater with the drowned village of Mardale beneath .
Short breaks starting Fri or Mon are available all year except Christmas & New Year.
