In the Heart of The Lake District Windermere Golf Course is located in an idyllic setting. The golf course is situated just 2 miles from Windermere, England's largest lake, and the villages of Windermere and Bowness.

It is a 5,132 yard par 67 course, the heather, rock outcrops and tight fairways make up for its lack of distance. Often compared to playing a mini Gleneagles, every hole has its own unique and unmistakable character.

Founded over 118 years ago the club has seen many changes, a recent one being the re construction of all the greens to USGA standards. The most recent development has been the opening of its new indoor teaching academy with state of the art swing analysis equipment to support the excellent coaching given by Simon Edwards Windermere's new professional. Golf Tuition courses are also run throughout the summer months.

Windermere Golf Club has a great reputation for its warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and wonderful catering available in the club house restaurant that has splendid views over the 17th fairway across to the Langdale Pikes.

Special packages are available all year round for 18, 27 or 36 holes plus groups or corporate days for 8 to 108 can be catered for.
