This 10-day circular trek through the Lake District starting from Windermere visits all the principal valleys using ancient trade routes and drovers trails, seeking out the lines of least resistance and making use of the passes between the mountains. The route can be walked by any moderately fit person. On five of the days there are options to take a more demanding high-level route between overnight stops, which will take in the summits of some of the highest peaks in the Lake District including Coniston Old Man, Helvellyn and Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain.
This price includes all accommodation in twin/double rooms with private bathroom (where available) in hotels, Inns or specially selected guest houses. Luggage transfer between hotels. All breakfasts. A map and guidebook, plus our own notes giving local information including dining options with opening times, location of cash machines, etc. An emergency contact number in case of difficulties
This price does not include lunch and evening meals although these can be pre-arranged if you wish. Extra costs incurred through using escape routes or arrangements made by us as a result of you using the emergency contact number. Miscellaneous personal expenses in hotels such as drinks etc.
£795 per person inclusive of 10 nights' accommodation in ensuite twin-share room on bed & breakfast basis, baggage transfer, full route notes and/or guidebook, and all necessary maps plus an emergency contact number.
Prices are per person based on twin share. Single rooms are available. We only apply a supplement for single accommodation when there is a direct cost to us and we cap this at a maximum of £25 per night. Solo walkers pay a supplement of £8 per night, plus any single supplement required.
Add extra nights / rest days from £45 per night.
