    “Delightful and quirky”

    Wonderful location. Private sitting room and shower/toilet facilities provided for the hut are excellent. Communal breakfast a great way of meeting people.

    Details

    Designed and built at Crake Trees, the Shepherds Hut is cosy and compact. With just a hand-made oak bed with mattress only, many candles, a tiny wood stove and a view that's forever. Outside, perch on the verandah or relax by the pond.

    A Breakfast basket of tea,coffee and locally produced Bacon/ Sausage/Egg Rolls are delivered to the Shepherds Hut each morning.

    A short walk up through the meadow back to civilisation. A hot shower and bathroom, and tea making area with fridge.

    A dog is welcome, by arrangement, at £10.00/night (paid as cash) which I donate to our local charity The great North Air Ambulance.

    Leave M6 at jct 38, Tebay, take B620 for Appleby. Travel through Orton village then turn left over cattle grid to Crosby Ravensworth ( 2 miles). Straight through the village of Crosby Ravensworth (3 miles), towards village of Maulds Meaburn. Crake Trees is approximatley 200 metres on the left, past the village school. Farm 0.5 mile uptrack.
